The Killers

- The All-American Rejects are an American Band that were formed when they were still in High School in 1999.
- They have been categorised as being an Alternative Rock Band.
- The band members consists of Tyson Ritter (lead vocalist, bass guitarist), Nick Wheeler (lead guitarist, backing vocals), Mike Kennerty (rhythm guitarist, backing vocals) and Chris Gaylor (drums, percussion).
- Since their debut, they have sold over 10 million albums worldwide!
- Target audience: 15-25 years old (Side Note: Most of their songs contain humorous content).

Coldplay
- Coldplay were formed in London in 1997.

- Chris Martian (Lead Singer and front man) and Jonny Buckland (Lead Guitarist) formed a band called Pectoralz. Guy Berryman (Bassist) joined and they changed their name to starfish.
- Drummer, Will champion also joined. In 1998 they changed their name again to Coldplay.
- In 2000, their single ‘Yellow’ found them success and fame around the world. This was followed by another success; their debut album, ‘Parachutes’ was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
- They are regarded as Alternative Rock or Post Britpop.
- I believe that their music, enjoyable for a very wide target audience, is mainly targeted at Mid- teenagers (15 -20 years old).
- At the start of their career, they were influenced by bands like Radio Head, Travis and U2.
- They are involved in multiple charitable schemes (amnesty international) and played many concerts such as Live 8, Hope for Haiti and Teenage Cancer Trust.
- Since their debut single, 'Yellow', Coldplay have sold over 50 million records.
