Chosen Unsigned Artist/Band and Song & Info. (from Pitch Presentation)

We have decided to promote Get Set Radio, choosing their song 'Jump' as a soundtrack for our own Music Video.
Get Set Radio is a band that was formed in the Feburary of 2008.

It originally consisted of 4 band members (Will, Steve, Ruby and Jonas) but has recently become a 3-man band, as Jonas (the drummer) has decided to move back to his homeland, in Sweden. Will, Steve and Ruby are now looking for a new dummer to fill his place.

Furthermore, they have been categorised as an Alternative Rock band, therefore we will be researching and analysing the Music and Music Videos produced by Sucessful Signed Alternative/Soft Rock Bands like The Killers, The Fray, Coldplay and another (to be decided).

The song used is entitled 'Jump' and the lyrics illustrate - (to be confirmed)
The genre of Music Video that we believe would best suit this song is either Narrative or Spectacle, as we think we should try and demonstrate what this man is going through in visual form (through a Narrative of the events that are being described in the song).  The Spectacle element will mainly be implemented in the editing process of the Band/Song promotion.

Representations:

Gender: The Music Video will represent the dominance of the girl over the boy in the relationship.
Class: The male will be of working class, whereas the female is higher-class (reason why she may be more dominant in the relationship).
Race: Both characters (male and female) are Caucasian White.

Location(s) and Mise-en-Scene:

Location(s): The Music Video filming will take place in the streets of Guildford, in a Household and various Alley Ways.

We have decided to represent our characters as a working class male and a middle class female. We have done this as it helps the audience relate more to the characters and the music as well as presenting both characters with different family backgrounds, demostrating one of the big differences between the two people and why they break up at the beginning of the music video/song.
